a few wide-angles taken in Italy
I was experimenting with scanning double-wide pictures taken with a cheap panoramic camera, and this is the result:

LoveItaly, maybe it was because I was looking at them at the time! Try again!
The throwaway panoramic cameras can indeed take good shots....as long as it's a bring sunny day. I believe they are 100ASA.
Having said all that, I don't know if they are even manufactured any more!

Statia, on a Mac, I upload to Preview and save as a TIFF image. I then use Kodak Easyshare (free if you joined kodakgallery) to change it to a JPEG image that I upload to Photoworks. If digital images have become your main format, I suggest that you try copying anything before your trip and see if you can save it satisfactorily as a digital image.
A final note: I used a panoramic during a transition period between taking print pictures and switching to slides. I have not used one since 1994, and as HowardR mentioned, these cameras may no longer be available.

Good to know it works well for uploading.
