Good magazine about Italy, Bell'Italia
A while back I wrote about a great magazine called "France". At that time I said I would report on the magazine "Bell'Italia" when it arrived. I got my first copy yesterday. It has wonderful high quality pictures and good articles about different areas and places in Italy. This issue features Otrano mosaics, Cannara, Torra Di Siena, Trapani, Ca?Rezzonico in Venice, ancient churches of Emilia-Romagna, and Cannara in Umbria. The cost of the magazine is $18.95 for 6 issues a year. The magazine "France" is better only because there are great real estate ads. "Bell?Italia" has only 1 real estate ad, making it harder to dream. Both mags are worth the $$. Enjoy!!

I want to add my recommendation to the Bell'Italia magazine. I also received my first issue yesterday. My mom had shown me back issues of the magazine and that made me subscribe. Beautiful photos and very good and detailed write-ups.

I've been receiving this magazine since December, I believe, and I really enjoy it. The articles and pictures are great. I received subscription information when I received a catalog from The Parker Company and I believe I paid around $30.

I ordered a subscription to this magazine online on 08/18, paid the cc bill, and have yet to receive an issue. Nothing from the company. An email to them 2 weeks ago went unanswered, and a phone call resulted in a "It's late getting out" response. Still not a word. Anyone else having this experience with this magazine?

They are pretty slow. I believe they only publish every 2 months. The last one I received was in August as well. I e-mailed them about a week ago to see if I had missed one, they haven't responded. I believe they have a phone number that we can call to get immediate answers.

I'm hoping (for now) that they are a "mom and pop shop" and just aren't very efficient. I remember a few months back that I e-mailed them, and it took a good 2 weeks for them to get back to me. In that e-mail they suggested that calling them was best. I e-mailed them about a week ago, and it wasn't returned to me undeliverable.
If they have gone "belly up," hopefully Amex will help with getting my $$$ back?

I finally got through on that 1-800 #, and they stated that they are "running behind" with the current issue (which they state is Oct.-Nov. The people who answer the phone don't seem to work for "Bell'Italia," as they asked me what magazine I was inquiring about.
