22, rue du Champ de Mars

Just booked this stunning apartment. Has anyone stayed there?

I saw all the suggestions for dining, etc. in the neighborhood in a previous thread. What a great help. Any other suggestions would be most welcome.

It seems like a nice place, but I wouldn't want to stay on the 4th floor (or 5th floor American, if that's 4th floor European) in a building with no elevator. More than two flights up, we like an elevator.

It might help for you to give a link or at least mention the agency. Is this it?

It looks very nice, I remember being surprised you mentioned finding so many great apts with 2 bedrooms, but you can find nice things at that budget. I guess you compromised about wanting 2 bathrooms.

Or is it this one, which is much cheaper, but seems to have only one bedroom:

I wouldn't call that stunning, so I imagine the first one and that is a convenient and pleasant location. It does look very nice.

There is a souvenir shop on the ground floor, Babiole, so you can buy many Eiffel Towers there and other gifts, and also an Italian restaurant, La Taverna, at that address which I've read good reviews on, although it is not a cheap Italian restaurant.

Interesting post Christina, it seems there is more than one apartment available at that address. The one you linked to is different from the one I looked at--yours is nicer and it's on a lower floor (second v. fourth). Also note that in your link, it says there is an elevator, on the link I found, there isn't.
The OP needs to clarify which apartment he's talking about (or maybe it's a different one altogether).

I'm marking. It looks like a great place. Only drawback I see is that your are only a block from rue Cler and that area will be chock full of Rickites.
