Joyce,
Not sure when you're going, but would recommend just a couple of nights in Capri - stunning & unique, designer shops galore, beautiful people, v.expensive!! But not an awful lot to do other than people watching & window shopping (unless you'e got a platinum card!!). Would highly recommend basing yourself in Sorrento instead, much more going on, still a fascinating italian feel (you may have guessed this is our most favourite place in Italy, and we have been all over..) Our favourite hotel in Sorrento is the Tramontano...slap bang in the centre of Sorrento, but with a peaceful, oasis-like feel about it (get a room with a terrace overlooking the bay of Naples, and you'll wake to Vesuvious each morning...). Other hotels we would happily reccomend are the Villa Maria, Bristol, Ambasciatori, and the Parco dei Principi, the choice is yours....Let us know how it goes..
Lesley & Debra
