Elaine--you wrote "I'm very happy for Lew, for whom money is no object." -- Just how do you know my financial situation, or anything else about me?

Or are you another "Know-It-All" who barks without information? Do you feel you're superior because you're either a better shopper, or just a good ol' girl?
Lew, Lew, Lew..what is so wrong with pointing out that money may not be an object for you? If so, you are very fortunate. For needlessly ruffled feathers, may I suggest 2 aspirins and some bed rest...

Stop the presses..
I didn't mean to sound like a know-it-all in either response. If I did, I apologize. I always swore I'd never get involved in a war of negative entries.

Hi, Elaine. I hope you see this reponse. You asked me to post my decision and want to let you know that I chose neither the Mercury nor the Rhapsody. I've decided to go to the eastern Caribbean so we're going on the Celebrity Millennium out of Fort Lauderdale in February. If we decide to cruise again after this cruise, we'll probably try the Rhapsody. Thanks again for the prior advise. I'd love to hear about your next cruise experience!

Note to Paul...I've read good and not-so-good things about the Millennium, so I hope I made the right decision. I'd like to hear your input if you have any. Thanks!

I sailed the sister ship Summit but not the Millennium. I did not find any serious problems such as posted by others such as vibration, rolling, cold food, and poor service.

Granted Celebrity is becoming a carbon copy of RCCL in many ways but the line is addressing the problem and although they have not come up with any significant changes as yet there may be more coming.

It is still hands above RCCL especially in the quality of food and entertainment. A country-club experience.

I would say that the only RCCL ships that come close to Celebrity (in different ways) would be the Voyager Class ships.

Paul

Hi Sandra, Have a wonderful time on the Millennium. Just got back from our Grandeur cruise and was a little disappointed, so good for you for following your own instincts and picking what sounds appealing to you. I think the eastern Caribbean is a good choice of ports..have heard good things about them from fellow travelers. Post a Millennium Report when you return!!
Happy sailing....
