calmest seas

Hi all,

My family is interested in trying a cruise but I am extremely leery since I don't do well on boats. Which destination would have the calmest seas? Mediterreanean? What about from Florida to Bahamas - can the waters still be rough?

Thanks all.

The water can be rough regardless of where you sail, depending on the time of the year. At other times, it can be smooth as glass. But I've always encountered some chop on the waters between Florida and the Bahamas. But the one thing you need to remember is that very large cruise ships (and for you, larger is probably better) have very good stabilizers that minimize rolling. If you get a transdermal patch and don't have any really rough seas, you probably won't have any problems at all.
