RCI Cruise vouchers
We have the opportunity to book an Alaskan cruise package through the timeshare company RCI. The packages are quite inexpensive and can be used anytime on either Princess or Holland. As I understand it, we pay upfront (naturally) and then receive a package voucher which we can use on either ship for any date. We just book the room (defined by the package price) and away we go. Sound fishy? Anyone ever done this?????

No clue - but in your budgeting process, take into consideration "excursions" off ship, either booked thru cruiseline or independently. As others here have noted, they can add up to almost same as cost of cruise itself but really are essential to appreciating Alaska

Will they deliver what they promise? Yes, they will. But you will be subjected to the hardest sales pitch of your life. These guys are amazingly good at what they do--they sell something like 30% of qualified buyers they get in a room. Be preparted to screamed at when you say no. It's not for the faint of heart...
