Are these prices for real?

An acquaintance signed up for two of these cruises. I don't think that I would be interested in something like this but has anyone every used this company?

If you go to cruise.com you will see that the first cruise advertised on that website can be booked (cruise only) from $849. The airfare would be the difference so I don't think it is any better bargain than you can get elsewhere. Just go through the ad and then check the prices at cruise.com for each one. It will give you a good idea. We usually book our own airfare when we are cruising to give us a little more leeway if we want to spend extra time before or after.

As an Agent myself, I can tell you that the price the website is advertising is not an amazing one. Like traveller69 said, the price of the cruise only portion is the same any where you go ($849). It is the airfare you are probably getting a deal on. Now the price on this website uses the oldest trick in the book, they give you the price for the cheapest sailing they have (Jun. 13-25, 2009) So you go to book it and they are all out of the cabin type you want, so now you either have to upgrade, or go to a different sailing. Either way you will spend more then the advertised price.

Here are some tips I tell my clients. First off, the price of the cruise only will not change from one agent to the next, so go with an agent you trust. Next the flight, if you have airline miles, or a discount from some credit card, you might want to book your own airline flight. You probably can get better flight price yourself if you do some research.

The cruise itself sounds great and NCL is a great line.

NCL prices do change from agency to agency unlike RC, since NCL allows discounts. Some agencies discount, some don't.
