Stacey,
Are you back from your trip yet? We want a report on Virgin Gorda and Little Dix.
Can't wait to hear about your holiday because we are going to Virgin Gorda in June and thinking about some time at Little Dix Bay.

Linda,
I think you mean Stacey and yes, I thinks you're right. I can't wait and by the way, I think we will extend our stay at LDB for 7 nights and bribe someone to bring us back to V.G at 5 a.m.
I love your input about Quito's and all the fun places. Thanks so much Linda. Any last minute advice? Not leaving for another 2 weeks and I'm convulsing just thinking about it.

Mari- okay, now some last minute advice....about those Painkillers, LOL.Did you read my trip report? I highly recommend the puddle jumper to Anegada vs the day sail. I like the day sails to the snorkeling spots, but that's a long ride to Anegada.Go to traveltalkonline.com and read the BVI trip reports. Mine is there under "honeymoon" and was posted last June.We got some excellent trip advice there and even caught up with some of them in Cane Garden Bay!You will love your vacation- be sure to write your report!

I don't know if there will be a full moon during your trip, but if you can swing it, go to the Bomba Shack for the full moon party. True, it is like a frat party, but what a great time! I sailed around the BVIs last year for a week and arranged to hit Tortola for the full moon party. A word of advice if you make it there...be open-minded.

Chris,
We will be there during the Full Moon but I'm not sure how easy it will be to get back to Virgin Gorda in the early morning. Would you know? Thanks so much.

My husband and I went to Tortola last year for a second honeymoon. We rented a beautiful private home. Great decision! We travelled all over Tortola and found the "resorts" to be seriously lacking. The only one we thought looked good all around was Frenchman Cay, which I haven't seen mentioned in this string. On the whole, Tortola is really a yachting port. There is very little "luxury" on the island itself. If I were to do it again I would either rent a private home again or charter a yacht/sailing trip to go from Island to Island. The boats are the most impressive thing I saw on Tortola.

Mari,
I don't know of any way you could get back to VG after the party unless you arranged a charter- and frankly after seeing the condition of all at the party, I wouldn't want to get in a boat with any of them!If you're dead-set on going, do what you first planned and get a room at Sugar Mill or LBR for a couple nights and do Bomba's and Cane Garden Bay.

Linda,
I'm having buyer's remorse after your response. I just extended our Little Dix stay from 5 to 7 nights.
I want to thank all of you for your great suggestions. Since it's our 1st trip to the BVI's we decided we wanted one base and didn't want to lug suitcases to move.
I will try to find out how we can make it to Bomba's and back to VG in the middle of the night. Sleep on the beach? Just kidding.

You could probably get a pretty cheap room for one night at Sebastian's or at one of the rather modest places in Cane Garden Bay (e.g. Myett's).
Never thought of that.....there are some cheap but nice rooms on CGB as well- just get there, check in and take your toothbrush. That way, you could experience CGB nightlife and Bomba's (if you must)
