We will be travelling to Punta Cana in February and are wondering what there is to do there besides enjoying the beach? Is anyone familiar with tours there?

We did a tour to the city of Santo Domingo. It is a long day but full of history and quite interesting. The bus stops for a continental breakfast, and also lunch. Shopping is also included. I found it worth the trip.

Hi there, we did the Saona Island tour which was a full day - i believe we left at 7:30 and arrived back at 7:30. Great trip and well worth it - we did just the island tour as we wanted to spend time there also we went with Punta Cana Runners for a full day excursion into the country side. We also did the Saona Island Tour and loved it! Well worth the $85.00. They provide you with beer and rum on the way over, which is on a huge catamaran. After consuming several drinks, we danced most of the way over as did most others on the boat. They have island girls on board who dance the whole time. When you get to the island, they provide you a very nice lunch and again all the drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholc, you want. The island is so pretty. We spent most of the time in the hammocks and lounge chairs, which again is provided. As you can probably tell, we had a blast and would highly recommend this trip.
