Stay at one of the beautiful condo resorts along Grace Bay. The Ocean Club comes to mind but there are many others. Check out the Fodors Travel Talk Rants and Raves for info. Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO THE BEACHES RESORT! You WILL be disappointed.

Try Ocean Club West, staff is friendly, beach os gorgeous.

I am also considering a trip to T&C. Does anyone know what airline flies there from the east coast other than American Airlines?

USAirways flys on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Hi, <BR><BR>Sorry, have to disagree with the BEACHES posts. We went to T&C Beaches last Feb DURING WINTER VACATION - BUSIEST WEEK! and had a FABULOUS time. My husband who is picky about these things LOVED IT. WHY?<BR><BR>My 3 kids (5, 8, 11) deemed it their "best vacation ever".<BR><BR>The resort wasn't overcrowded like ClubMed the prev year, even though it was at 97% occ. Staff excellent, weather GREAT, pools were too cold to go in most days (slightly chilly nights, don't know if that was just a one-time thing). Beach and hot-tubs were great alternatives.<BR><BR>Bar was great - bartenders were gentle with kids, and if they pour a little light on the drinks who cares (I didn't notice anyway), the goal isn't to get fall-down drunk anyway!<BR><BR>FOOD WAS GREAT - sorry if we aren't conniseurs (sp?) but we live and eat in NYC upscale restaurants, and while this wasn't Le Cirque, it was GREAT varied food!... Even something for the kids at each meal!<BR><BR>Rooms, not great, not bad. Who's in the room anyway?<BR><BR>THE WHOLE VACATION WAS JUST GREAT! So great that we are going back at the end of August! Don't listen to the naysayers - BEACHES is a great place!

we love the caymans..too...but decided on turks we loved it.. beautiful beaches ever.....stayed at ocean club west...we just got back went end of july............... awesome! u will not be disappointed.. we went on our honeyoon there..we had studio suite..so u can buy ur food...go to IGA supermarket....its right up road..rent a car too! go to conch farm! not that much to do.. but restaurants are great. do not go to caicos cafe..not worht it..go to gecko grille...a lil pricey but ull love it.. tiki hut is great..also gilleys on leeward marina.. awesome food..serve lunch and brreakfast... beaches have to be most beautiful..talcum powder sand too.. we love cayman islands..we get free flights husband works for ailrines.. oh us air doesnt fly to turks and caicos til nov. 2.. the do not fly there now.. only american airlines.. my husband works for usair.try barefoot cafe too and above that theres a nother great restuarant..friendly atmosphere... have a great time...

I'd go further south in Feb. I would worry about the temp that time of year.

We went to Provo last February and it was very hot. The evenings we very pleasant,no sweater required.

Does anyone know if the water is warm in early April at Turks and Caico? When I was in Aruba someone told me the water temp. is much cooler.

Find that the water temp might be a problem after early December and too cold in the deep winter but by the time of our trip in early April found it perfect in the CAICOS islands where Provo is located.

Five years ago my husband and I decided to do something different for our 30th wedding anniversary in Feb. We went to Club Med (our first) in Turks and Caicos. We had so much fun! We went back again last March with another couple and again loved it for what it is-a fun vacation if you like snorkling, sailing, long walks, reading in the shade and flying on the trapeze!!<BR>We are not "party people" but enjoyed being among them, about 1/3 of the guests were 20's and 30's, but there were plenty in their 50's as we are. We requested and got a quiet room away from Sharkey's and found the rooms and food really very good. Oh and the weather both times was great!
