If I recall correctly, it was about $25-$30 from the airport to Red Hook and took about 25-30 min. From the airport to the ferry dock at CA only takes about 5-10 minutes and costs $8-10. The ferry from Red Hook to STJ was about 20 min. If you're checking bags, allow 15-30 minutes to pick them up, and allow about 10 minutes for the taxi drivers to get a group together, unless you want to pay a premium for travelling without other passengers. They have a system down pat, but they don't like to travel with partially loaded vans. I'm sure that barring unforeseen circumstances, getting your car (at Cruz Bay?) at 3:00 is doable - and 4 is certainly doable!

Seasweetie is probably right but the official rate from the airport to Red Hook is $15.00 for one person or $11.00 per person for more than one & they tend to make you share the taxi. I think they also charge for bags but I don't know how much. There should be a sign at the airport with the rates.

You should look at Dynamic Tours- a private taxi service which is $50 pp round trip and no cost for luggage. They will even stop at stores along the way. I think they only go to red hook-which runs every hour until midnight. CA only runs abou 4 to 5 times daily i think.
