I am wondering the same thing... What is the cab fare from the airport to the ferry. We are then going to St. John. We have been offered, by our travel agent, a 'deal' for round trip cab fare for $30.00 each on St. Thomas from the airport to the ferry.
Thanks for any help!

If the "deal" is to the ferry at Red Hook (which is on the other side of the island from the airport), that would probably be a decent price. If the "deal" is to the dock at Charlotte Amalie (about 6 minutes from the airport), then somebody's making some money off the deal. You should be able to get to the Charlotte Amalie dock for around $10 bucks per person. The taxi fares are posted at the taxi stand, which is really easy to find since it's right outside the baggage claim. Let me know if you have any more questions. We are St. John addicts.
Best regards!

Folks, the taxi fares are posted at this web address.
http://www.stthomasthisweek.com/transport.html
Rates are fixed. There is a baggage handling fee of approx$1-2 per piece.
The $30 fee for taxi transfer arranged by your agent is a fair price and will probably assure that you will have direct transport to the ferry dock. Taking the public taxi's don't guarantee this and can cause you delays in reaching your ferry.
