st thoma airport to charlotte amalie ferry dock

Would I be crazy to expect to be able to get off a flight from Philly SCHEDULED to arrive at St Thomas' Cyrus King airport at 2:59 pm and make it to the last Tortola ferry of the day at the charlotte amalie ferry dock by 4:30?

Thanks

You should have no trouble at all (unless your flight is delayed). I've known people arrive at 4pm and still make it. The ferry dock is only a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport.

if your ferry leaves from charlotte amalie and not red hook you are as moglet said all set. if you need to go to red hook it will be tight but doable. explain to your taxi driver and ask him to take the inland route. town will be crowded that time of afternoon with ppl from the ships.

You should be fine, but you'll definitely make the Redhook ferries which run until 11:00p.m.

I may be wrong but I always thought the last ferry from Red Hook to Tortola was about 5.30pm. Also, be aware that getting to Red Hook from the airport can take a while. As Virginia said, ask the taxi driver to take the inland route.

Moglet: You may very well be correct. Sorry, I'm thinking ferries to St. John.

You may want to check the ferry schedules here ( http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/ferry.shtml ). Looks like your schedule is comfortable but the weekend hours are different from the weekday times.
