Sandals Dunns River

I would appreciate any comments/advice on Sandals Dunns River. Can anyone compare this resort to Grand Lido Braco? Thanks.

well all i can say dave is if your willing to shell out 400-600 a day for a place that can best be described as worn, weathered and wrapped up in its self (me thinks ole butch has pulled the wool over alot of peoples eyes with his glossy photos and ultra (lol) slick advertising. but no matter whose opinion you get there will always be the poor soul who sugar coats sandals to death (check out web site tropictravelonline) and are willing to overlook the poor service, below average food, chancy watersports activities, the joke of premium liquor, and overall bad value. These idiots are willing to give their money to this overpriced organization for some "rest and relaxtion". Sandals says all you need is love; well you better bring it with you because it will be the only thing to get you through. I feel sorry for these people but you know my grandfather said its bad to be blind in one eye but still possible to be stupid in the other. Carry on Butch, but I for one am on to your game.

Having stayed at both resorts, I would have to say that Grand Lido Braco was definitely the better of the 2. The service was great, food excellent and drinks were better than at Sandals. THere was more activity at night also.<BR>We had a bad experience at Dunns - resort was under constructions and 2 restaurants were closed. We have stayed at all the other Sandals resorts in Jamaica and we would not go back to Dunns River but already booked Braco for September!!

Not overly impressed with Sandals Dunn's. The pool is impressive, great outdoor bar's, good food but did not like all the decking - tons of it! Beach is ok but everythingis in one location and not spread out so many people all together.

My husband and I visited Sandals Dunn's River 2 years ago and definitely would not go back. The rooms looked like what you'd find at a Holiday Inn. The beach is very small. Loud music and beer drinking contests take place all day long. A tiny section of the ocean is roped off for swimming. The food was average. It does have a big pool, however, if that's what you're after. I know some people love it, it wasn't what we were looking for.

Sandal's Dunn's River--wouldn't go back mainly because of terribly small beach. Try Sandal's Negril. Much nicer resort & area with more things to do.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, I took my trip in early May. I WILL NEVER go back to any Sandals resort. I really feel bad for anyone that thinks that Sandals is a good value for the money. Those people just don't get out very often. I literally could have stayed at the Ritz Carlton, also all inclusive, for the same money! Believe me, Sandals is no Ritz Carlton. The saddest thing about it is that I really had the feeling that many of the guests at Sandals had never traveled and may never travel like that again. I can't imagine the spiff that travel agents get for booking these places. I guess these people do think they get there moneys worth as they don't have and never may have anything to compare it to. Braco is MUCH better. Not even in the same scale.
