When are you going? They are both located on the same beach: Palm Beach. Rad is closer to restaurants. But Marriott has a few good restaurants on site: Simply Fish which is our favorite and located right on the beach! There is also a Ruth's Chris @ Marriott. And, another restaurant called...some Italian name.... but I can't remember it right now.
The beach in front of Rad may not be as crowded as the beach area in front of Marriott if you are there during a really busy week such as Pres Week or Christmas/New Years.
Rad is located south of Marriott.
Marriott has the Marriott Hotel and then to the south of the hotel two Marriott timeshare properties: Marriot Aruba Ocean Club and Marriott Aruba Surf Club. So, the Marriott beach gets really crowded.
Both Marriott and Rad are fine.

I think the Radisson is nicer...prettier, more lush landscaping, nicer pool, more central location and on a better stretch of beach. Marriott will be more crowded and have more kids because of the lazy river etc.
And if you are going to a steak house, go to El Gaucho not Ruth's Chris!

The radisson is more central and has a much less congested beachfront. It's within walking distance to several restaurants. Overall, a prettier hotel than the Marriott, although the Marriott has larger guest rooms. If you decide on the Radisson, don't go with their meals included package. Absolutely horrible, and lots of good restaurants in area.

For sure the Radisson. Marriott is mostly timeshare owners and the location is better at the Radisson. There are so many places to eat in Aruba and fine local restaurants. You can go to Ruth Chris anywhere, or TGIFs for that matter. Why go to Aruba for a chain restaurant?? Nothing wrong with it but far more interesting to go with the local cuisine. If you want a great steak venture out go to Madamn Jeanettes. Great food and yummuy desserts.
