Parrot Cay? Anyone ever stay there? First time to Turks&C so any tips appreciated

My girlfried and I after much deliberation decided to go to Turks and Caicos for our first tropical vacation - we usually do high stress New Zealand/Aust/Europe trips but not we just need to relax.
We decided on Parrot Carry a small island resort off Provo. We are going to stay for two nights in Provo before setting off for Parrot Cay so any help on places to stay would be appreciated. Also what is the best airline to get to Turks and Caicos?
Thanks,
cj

For your 2 nights on Provo, consider the Comfort Suites - not directly on the beach but only a short walk away and it is near lots of restaurants. Sorry I have never been to Parrot Cay - so I cannot tell you much about that and I fly to Provo from Canada on whatever flight is the cheapest at the time.

Have been to Provo 14 times and love it. Comfort Suites is a good suggestion but I would consider Sibonne which is right on the beach (www.sibonne.com). Small very nice place with an excellent restaurant. Have not been to Parrot Cay but have talked to many people who have. Other than the resort there is nothing else there--No town, other restaurants, etc.. My feeling is I would get bored quickly. I would probably spend 2 or 3 nights on Parrot Cay and the rest on Provo. Little more to do, great restaurants etc. You get to Provo on American Airlines via Miami or USAirways via Charlote NC (Assume you are flying from the states).

If Mr. Jones is going to spend >$600/night staying at Parrot Cay, then someplace like Grace Bay Club on Provo would be more in line with his style and budget I'd guess.

PC is supposed to be a great choice for relaxation. It's isolated, low density, beautiful setting. I've not booked it, though I've come close a couple times. I fear that it's so isolated I'd regret staying there since I'm not very good at vegetating on vacation. I, too, gravitate toward active vacations and Europe and Oceania provide plenty of options.
Sounds like what you're looking for, though.
