You can't go wrong with Calypso Grill on the water in West Bay or The Wharf on West Bay Road - also on the water. Tell them that it's a special occasion.

My favorites for a special dinner would be: Casanova, Grand Old House, and the Lighthouse.

We are just back and had a magnificent, albeit expensive, dinner at Blue at the Ritz.

Also had a great experience at Casanova and the setting is lovely.

Most disappointing was the Reef Grill and we would not go back.

Whatever you do, make a reservation!!!! We learned that rather quickly when we visited 2 weeks ago.

Also, while we ate probably our best meal at Calypso Grill, and it's a very picturesque setting, unless you like to sit shoulder-to-shoulder with other guests, it's not quite romantic. Every table fills up at dinner.

We also ate at Blue. Very stylish, romantic atmosphere, but staggeringly expensive. Even by Grand Cayman standards.

Casanova's was our favorite place, with a very dedicated staff. Grand Old House is very distinctive. You cannot go wrong with either one.

Thanks, we will give Casanova's a try for our Anv. dinner and also give Blue a try and mark off our list The Reef Grill.

We leave this Saturday and can not wait. Almost all packed. Hubby had knee surgery 3 weeks ago-so we can't dive-this will be a beach, dinner and drinking trip.
