Grand Cayman Top Dining and To-do's

My husband and I are going to GC in May! First time to go. Last year we went to Turks and loved it! Hoping this will be as memorable. We are staying right on Seven mile and we are renting a car for 4 of the days 7 days we are there. What I want to know is where are the best places to eat and Must things to do? I know that we will definitely go to Sting Ray City. But that's all I know
Restaurants, we are not big on Italian. We love meat and potatoes, seafood and want to try a lot of local dishes. Suggestions?
What to do: We are going to spent everyday on the beach but want to drive around and explore. Suggestions?

We've been to Cayman twice. Our favorite restaurants are The Brasserie and Bleu (at the Ritz). The latter is expensive but for us it was one of the best meals we've ever had (and we live in the NE with access to NYC).
In terms of activities - we enjoyed the turtle zoo and the botanical gardens.

Some of my favourites:

West Bay -
Calypso Grill for Fish. On the water, deck gets cramped.
Osetra Bay for the experience. On the water.
Catch for Fish. On the water. This and two above are next to each other. Setting is harbour, nice, but not especially scenic
Macabuca for cracked conch, lunch. On the water with great setting.

Seven Mile Beach -
Morgan's great Seafood. On the water. Nice setting.
Cocolobo for Mexican/Tapas. beach front casual at the Kimpton.
Dukes for BBQ if want a change. Roadside.
Blue, Le Bernadine south.
Luca, Yes it's Italian, but if you feel like it they do fish well. Barely a water view.

George Town -
The Brasserie - Farm/Sea to table. Nightly specials. Office park, but don't be deterred.
Grand Old House - Great setting on the water.

Bodden Town -
White House - for lunch on their deck
Rankins - favourite Jerk place

East End -
Tukka - Great on the water setting. Australian influenced dishes

Rum Point -
Kaibo Upstairs for a fine dine.
Rum Point Club for their sail to dinner.

Some roadside BBQ and Jerk stands if that's of interest.

Not a fan, but many like Heritage Kitchen in West Bay for Cayman Style Fish. Grape Tree Cafe in Bodden Town and Miss Vivine's and Big Tree BBQ in East End also are local food spots.

Great resource:

Oh, and George Town Yacht Club if you are looking for a place to nosh before your flight. They have a free shuttle to/from the airport and great conch dishes and other fare.

sboemia My husband and I are going to Grand Cayman in July, and we also went to TCI last year, it looks like have something in common. Since your trip will be earlier than mine please share some info when you come back. I'll be looking forward to read from you. Thank you! (BTW: we both loved TCI, and we are planning to visit a different island each year)

As per my experience, The Cayman Islands is a beautiful place to visit. It has unique landscape views and best underwater activities like Cayman underwater submarine dive, Scuba diving, and Snorkeling. Also, the wildlife adventure plays a big role in attracting the visitors from all over the world. Even, you can swim with turtles at Cayman Turtle Centre. Overall the Cayman Islands is a piece of wonderland.
