Okay all you St.John lovers - I'm down to 2 villas: Time Out or Rhumb Runners! What do I do?????

Rhumb Runners gets my vote. I think the views are nicer there. You see Coral Bay,Hurricane Hole, East End and Tortola. And it's the cheaper of the two. Tme Out is closer to town, and nearer to the Westin resort and probably more commercial water traffic. These are minuses in my opinion. Rhumb Runners will have sunrises, Time Out will have sunsets.
Once again, do some looking into the island itself and decide with your husband which location better suits your taste. Either way I'm sure you'll love it. St.John is a fantastic place to be!

I'm certainly in favor of Rhumb Runners and the Coral Bay side. As Jofus said the views from that location are so good you will not want to leave. There's a good selection of places to eat such as Skinny Legs, Shipwreck Landing, Island Blues, and Voyages.

The drive to the North Shore beaches is not much longer than from Cruz maybe equal from Chocolate Hole. Additionally it's one beautiful drive.
