Need help choosing hotel in Punta Cana, PLEASE!!!
I am planning a late winter vacation with my husband and 10 year old daughter. I would really appreciate any feedback on the best hotels. We want gorgeous beach, activities for children she loves a pretty pool. Also we would like to be able to book sightseeing trips from our hotel with easy pick-up and drop-off. Thanks so much

We loved the Catalonia Bavaro in Punta Cana.. the beach is lovely, the pool is incredible. Can't say enough for the entertainment staff who make a point of including the children in the pre-show at night. Manati Park is close by and except for swimming with the dolphins I highly recommend the resort.. Oh yes... the food was very good.. I do have pictures ofthe resort...it's just lovely.

We just got back from Punta Cana and styed at the Sunscape with three eight year olds. We loved it!
One thing to consider is english speaking patrons. What I mean is at Sunscape most people who stay there are english speaking. It is owned by aa American company. There are less European patrons. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with enriching yourself with diversity but, my kids met many friends which might not have happened iof there was a language problem. Also many people we met (from other surrounding hotels) while on excursions said that they were lost and glad to meet some engish speaking people! Your daughter will be at home at Sunscape.
Beach is nice (a little seagrass floating) food is good, pool and activities staff great. Enjoy Punta Cana, don't miss the Outback Safari- Tour guide- Luigi was great. Say hi from the triplets if you go!

Anissa, Just back from the Iberostar Bavaro, it is incrediable. We traveled with our 13 and 9 year old, they did not participate in any of the kids programs but talked to people whos kids did and the kids loved it. The food is wonderful their is something for everyone, you name it they have it hamburgers pizza fish of all kinds chicken etc. We have traveled to several islands and we always stay at the all inclusive resorts and this is the nicest resort we have ever stayed at, even better than sandals beaches resort. I would go back today it is wonderful
We just returned from the Fiesta Bavaro and loved it. We had 3 kids, ages 9 and 12 years and 20 months. The beach is the most gorgeaous in Punta Cana, and that is not just an opinion. We looked at all the others, it's absolutely beautiful.

There were lots of kids there, probably because of the great kids programs, many activites (archery, sailing, basketball, crafts, painting, pool games, fashion shows-for kids, windsurfing, banana boats, etc, etc,. Also all the rooms are big suites, which are great for families.)

Highly recommend it, the food was good to and all 4 of the pools and grounds were beautifully landscaped. Go to Debbiesdominicantravel.com and check out the reviews and bulletin boards. We'd go back in a heartbeat!
