Thanks for the info. My questions:
-Since it is across the street from the beach, is that much of an inconvenience?
-How have you found the units? Clean and well maintained?
-How is the staff?
-Is it relatively quiet?
-How are the pools?
-There are two phases, are both of them relatively equal, or is one much superior to the other?
Thanks for your feedback

It is a very short walk to the beach across the road. A two or three minute walk. If you stayed in a larger resort, you would have just as far to walk to the beach. Take a portable cooler with you, you can fill with ice and have cold drinks and snacks on the beach. The beach is outstanding. The units are cleaned every day and maintained very well. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. LaQuinta is a small and quiet resort. We stay in the Phase closest to the beach. That Phase has a small pool with the ground level units opening directly out to the pool. The second floor units have balconys overlooking the pool. In the other Phase, the pool is larger and there is a small very casual restaurant where you can get breakfast, lunch and drinks. If you are looking for activities, parties, loud music, volleyball games in the pool, etc. etc. this is not the place for you. But if you are looking to relax in a quiet, friendly, small resort, this is the place for you!

When we were in Aruba 4 years ago there was a long stretch of undeveloped beach between the Costa Linda and La Cabana (including the area by La Quinta). Is this still true?
We stayed at the Manchebo and walked that stretch every day. I can confirm that the "across the road" issue is no big deal - it's very close and there's not much traffic.
It did look like La Quinta didn't have very many umbrellas on the beach. Are there enough to go around?

The area from Manchebo to LaCabana and past is essentially the same as it was 4 years ago. Sometime Mother Nature brings in a little more sand, and sometime Mother Nature takes some of it away. You can walk up and down that stretch of paradise. The beach boy at LaQuinta usually puts out the beach umbrellas as needed.
