Just got back from Anguilla today...

Loved it. Stayed at Rendezvous Bay Hotel, and it was great. From our patio, it was literally about twenty steps to the water. Rendezvous Bay Beach is gorgeous, and we thought the prettiest on the island. Food at Cedar Grove, the restaurant at RBH, was fantastic. Some of the best meals we have ever had. Unfortunately, though, I neglected to spray myself with "Off" our first night, and during dinner managed to get over fifty mosquito bites which itched like hell. Even with the spray, after that, managed to get a few bites each evening. Also, the weather could have been better. Several cloudy and rainy days, and hot and sticky w/no breeze. Despite this, we loved Anguilla and will definitely go back.

Glad to hear you had a great trip! After all the planning, you were not disappointed! I agree I love Cedar Grove-its a must do for us! I always say this spot (RBH) is how Anguilla use to be, in many ways still should be!!!

Yes, I feel the same way - RBH is really the 'old Caribbean' or in any case the 'old Anguilla' - the way it should be! We'll be back there in less than 2 months, can't wait!

There are two new puppies at RBH - make sure you see them when you go. They are adorable. Two 16 week old goldens, just like Earl. They are being kept in one of the tennis courts. Bart referred to them as "the future owners of the beach".

The last 2 (Earl & his friend) got placed under house arrest for taking a dip in the CuisinArt pool -- I hope the puppies are as much fun!

Mary, thanks for the laugh! I can just imagine the commotion that caused!

Could "kill" for a plate of the coconut crusted prawns at Cedar Grove jsut now.

Had the coconut crusted shrimp twice during our ten day stay. The pasta with lobster and spinach was another favorite. What a drag to be back to eating my own cooking!
