Penny: Anguilla/Antique question
Penny (and other knowledgable fodorites),
You were such a help in '04 when we planned a trip to Jumby Bay. We are thinking of planning a return trip this spring and combining it with time in Anguilla. Had a few questions I thought you might be able to help with (if you don't mind)...
- Any advice on rooms at Jumby Bay? It's my understanding there has been a lot of construction and upgrades since our visit in 2004. We loved the OV Courtyard Suite back then.
- Any air transportation advice? I wasn't sure if you prefered starting your Anguilla/Antigua trips on one island over the other? Any advice on transfers?
- Do you still prefer CJ on Anguilla?
Thanks so much for your time and any words of wisdom!

I am glad I was a help to you in 04 and you enjoyed Jumby. I am trying to remember what year they did the renovations ---thats when they changed the tile and did the out door shower in the court yard suites---plus other rooms. We still love the courtyard suites---the outdoor shower is marvelous. They just renovated the rondovels--they are very popular, with
the best a/c.Rosewood manages the resort, so they now have more children.
So avoid school breaks if you can.
As far as air transportation we use to start in Anguilla ---as it was so easy
since Continental flew the St. Martin-
Antigua-Newark. They no longer do the stop in Antigua. So now we go to Jumby,
take Liat (not a bad flight)to Anguilla.
We still enjoy CJ--just sometimes its hard to get in. If you have never stayed there I would suggest you do. Since we
go to Anguilla so often we now rent a
villa at Covecastles but plan a winter
stay at CJ.
I am happy to help.
