I have stayed there twice and it's a good place to use as a base for vacationing on St. Martin but I don't recommend the all inclusive option. There are too many great places to eat on St. Martin. Also, all the rooms at Le Flamboyant have kitchnettes and there is a strip mall across the road where you can stock up on basic groceries. There are also some restauratns within walking distance.

St. Martin is French and part of the French West Indies. it has nothing to do with the Virgin Islands. The other side of the island is St. Maarten which is Dutch.
Le Flamboyant is a very nice hotel. it has a beach but the beach is on the lagoon rather than on the ocean.
I recommend renting a car while you are there so you can explore the island and the other wonderful beaches.
and I agree with the above posters.. If possible, do not go the all inclusive way. The island has the most fabulous dining experiences you will find on any Caribbean island. It would be a pity to miss that.

The beach area is nice but it is on the lagoon, so it's not great for swimming. You can however use the kayaks, and water bicycles. The two pools are also very nice. The best beaches are a drive away (even the beach across the road at the Nettle Bay Beach Club is only marginally better and it is on the sea. But as we have all said, it's a good base.
