crimichr, thanks for taking the time to let us know where you decided. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time. I've never been to Cabo, but the One and Only resorts are fab.

Visormom, your response made me start wondering...when I actually lived in MS, I hated the heat & humidity. Now that I've transplanted myself to New England, and my blood has thickened up a bit to withstand these gawd-awful winters, I find that I thrive in the heat & humidity whenever i head back to the Caribbean. Isn't that peculiar?

As was said, you have a higher chance of getting in an accident on the way to the airport than you do getting caught up in a Hurricane... and as rates are so inexpensive in summer, buy comprehensive trip insurance with the money you save.

If we didn't have such difficult (and costly) regulation on insurance here in Cayman, I would probably build trip insurance into my summer/fall room rates, but as I can't do that, I set up an information page on Trip Insurance to get people started, you might find it useful to take a look at this :

My travel agent said June is fine but that summer/early fall is risky. Since you can't reschedule your honeymoon, I would suggest an alternative. You mentioned the One and Only Palmilla. I stayed there a few years ago and it was very nice. Very quiet. If you're open to the west coast and want to stay with a Four Seasons, I would highly recommend Four Seasons Hualalai (Big Island). Fantastic. Would not recommend Four Seasons Maui (beautiful but not very quiet/remote) nor Ritz Maui (wrong part of the island brings a lot of rain/bad weather). I've also heard fantastic things about Four Seasons Punta Mita (Puerto Vallarta) and Esperanza (Cabo). Good luck and congrats on the marriage!

Cabo San Lucas is as susceptable to hurricanes as much of the Caribbean. Four Seasons in Maui is great and much more lush and tropical than that part of Mexico.
