Honeymoon help!
My fiance and I are getting married November 30. We were planning to go to Hawaii, but hear from many sources the weather is not great beach weather in the beiginning of December. So we are debating on the Caribbean(Antigua or St. Barth's???) Or the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

We were in Antigua in December '01 and stayed at Jumby Bay resort on an island off mainland Antigua. The resort was quite upscale and beautiful. There weren't a lot of people at the beginning of Dec., so it was very quiet and tranquil. The food and service were excellent. The weather was not. It was very windy everyday and rained 3 days out of the 7 we were there. However, if you're looking for romance, relaxation and rest, I'd highly recommend Jumby Bay. One not so great thing about it is that the island is opposite the Antiguan Airport and every now and then you get planes flying overhead. We also stayed at the El Dorado Resort on the Mayan Riviera year and a half ago and it was quite nice as well. The food and service is not as good as Jumby Bay, but the people were very friendly and the grounds very well-maintained. The beach itself was not fine white sand, but crushed coral, so can be a bit rough. Better value to go to Mexico than Cuba, I can tell you that. Good luck.

Recommendation would be Hotel Guanahani St. Barts on a gorgeous beach--cottages which are very romantic. Francois Plantation has a great view from their Infinity pool. Also, if you like a beautiful beach and don't mind quiet then Frenchman's Cay Hotel, Tortola BVI has 1-2 bedroom villas with several packages. Congratulations.
