Gallows Point Question

Is there ocean view a lot better than the harbor view? Is an upper room much better than a lower room? I'm trying to determine if the extra cost is worth it.

Thank you.
Stephanie,

Room selection is not so important now that all units have central AC. We used to go for ocean uppers, but this year switched to a harbor upper because the ocean uppers were all booked. We really didn't mind at all, and took the $300 we saved and had two over the top meals. Whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed.

We've stayed in upper and lower, ocean and bay. All were great. The ocean view, upper units are more serene with a beautiful ocean view. The harbor view has a little more life and a little more noise, especially in the morning or if the bars are rocking. We enjoyed watching the harbor come to life in the morning.

The upper level rooms are more spacious and open. We'll be ocean front upper unit in about four weeks.

Forgot to mention, we stayed at one of the units that was ocean front (I think it was 4C) - there was a beautiful tree right outside the porch that blocked the view of the beautiful ocean. Get a room with a view and catch sunset over St. Thomas from your porch.

Just wanted to check to see if anyone has stayed at Gallows recently. I am trying to decide between the Ocean upper or lower rooms - anyone care to weigh in?

We were there two years ago and stayed in building 15 which I thought was probably the best (after scouting out the resort further on our trip) because it was all by itself on a point. We were in the lower which was awesome because I felt that we were literally right on the water and that piece of land/water was ours. This is of course, very dependent on which building you get.
