FDR or FDR Pebbles?

Any opinions on FDR or FDR Pebbles in Jamaica? How is the beach at these resorts?

At first glance, the beach at Pebbles is better. However......it's somewhat rocky and has a fair amount of seaweed.

That said, there is little or no beach at FDR Runway Bay. There is however a long beautiful public beach next door.
Thus in my opinion it's better at Runway Bay.

Personally I feel that Runaway Bay is a much better property to begin with. As it's older, it's much more mature and the facilities are better as well. Runaway Bay is a better location as well as it is closer to the off property activities. Either way however both properties are clean, friendly and well run. Have fun!

Do you have any experience with the nannies there? I have a 20 month old.

Me again......The nannies are super. That said...with a child that young, you could still opt for a higher end resort that's less child oriented (let's face it how much do you need for a child that young yet) and just look into hiring a nanny. Half Moon or The Ritz Carlton Montego Bay for example.
If your budget allows.....Otherwise FDR is just fine.

Hi Chris,
I just got back from FDR Runaway Bay. The beach was not very good at all. It is very rocky. Our party of 6 adults and 6 kids ages 1 year to 10 years old couldn't wait to leave!! It is defintely a mature property that needs a face lift. However the nannies are excellent. We did leave after 2 days and went to the Round Hill which was a beautiful relaxing resort. We were able to hire a wonderful nanny for $5.00 an hour. This resort was more expensive but clean, comfortable, and relaxing!
