Best place for family with a 2 year old?

We are interested in a week long vacation with our 2 year old in the Caribbean or Mexico? We would like a 1 BR suite or villa and the option of hiring a reliabel babysitter. Thanks.

I personally would leave the child at home with Grandma.

That reply is not very helpful. What if Grandma is not an option?

How about Beaches Negril? It is a nice AL resort for families and has daycare. Check it out on www.beaches.com and then under resorts click on Beaches Negril

I vote for FDR Runaway Bay. Clean, well run, great nannies and VERY friendly. Been there 4 times with no regrets. The accomondations are large as well.......Or if you have a bigger budget and or dont want an AI....then pick out any resort and inquire about nannies/sitters. Should not be a problem either way. Have fun!

Go to the British Virgin Islands, it's safe, not too crowded and it's pure paradise! Check the BVI's offical website for a hotel or villa www.bviwelcome.com LITTLE DIX BAY RESORT offers a special kid's programm/kindergarden. If you want to rent a villa, you could hire a professional nanny, have a look for example at www.TropicalNannies.com, a nanny service on Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.

Katit... The Little Dix Bay Kids Club only accepts children ages 3 to 12. That won't help Chris as his child is only 2. My top choice would be Club Med Punta Cana in DR. All of their rooms have a separate sleeping alcove for children with a door that separates the area from the rest of the unit. Their Kids Club starts at age 2. I, personlly, would never be comfortable leaving my 2 year old in the care of a babysitter whom I do not know. A Kids Club, with many other people around, offers much more security for the children.

Rent a condo in the Cayman Islands. All the conveniences of home ( which you need with a 2 year old ) and a big beautiful beach for them to play on. Very clean, very safe, great weather, warm, warm water. Have fun with the little one !
