Dining at Wispers or Aqua?

Any recent experiences with these restaurants in Barbados?

We just ate at both restaurants last week.

Wispers was a gorgeous restaurant (both outside and in). We ate outside, but I think next time I would opt for inside.

Food was excellent although pricey ($192 Barbados per person plus drinks and tip).

At Aqua we had an equally delicious meal. Setting of the louge and upstairs dining area was great also. It overlooks the sea. Food was great there as well.

I think I might pick Aqua for being a bit more affordable with great food.

You might consider going to Wispers for drinks first - just to see what it's like. They have a cabana area where you can sit outside and enjoy your drinks.

Had a fabulous meal at Wispers, yes a little pricey but worth every penny. All great for drink in one of the private cabanas. Service impeccable.
Have no need to go back to Aqua - ever. Service very good, lovely setting but food outrageously overpriced and dreadful. Maybe the chef was having a bad day!

I absolutely loved Acqua. I think it's one of the best on the whole island. The decor, atmosphere, food and service were excellent. Try to get a table right by the water -- it's unreal. I didn't find anymore expensive than the other high end restaurants. The food was delicious.

While we did love Wispers, we felt the servers were not as polished as they could be for a restaurant with that type of pricing.

Still, it was a lovely experience as was Aqua.

Alan, most Bajan upscale restaurants are pricey. Aqua was not as expensive as the West coast restaurants (e.g. Daphne's, the Cliff and Lone Star) but I think it was about $140 US for two of us with drinks, appetizers and dinners.

We would like to avoid going over $200 for dinner for two, so Aqua sounds doable.
