Covecastles

We will be in Anguilla in February; and planning to stay in one of the beachhouses in Covecastles. Anyone stayed there before - what's your opinion of the place?

We stayed at the Cuisinart before - it was very nice but would like a smaller resort that is more private.

Hello labrador! In Anguilla I would MOST recommend theMADEARIMAN BEACH CLUB resort. It is a beautiful place right on Shoal Bay East and it wiull save you a lot of money. A grerat place to eat lunch close by is LE BEACH restaurant. Go to www.madeariman.com to see the resort If you can get a room there in January that would be where you should stay. If that happens not to work out try the ALLAMANDA BEACH CLUB. Also a great place on Shoal Bay East!go to www.allamandabeachclub/Anguilla.com to check it out.

Regarding your question about Covecastles - we've never stayed there but we walked around the property this summer when we were on Anguilla. It is an absolutely beautiful, luxurious, well-laid-out and very very private and quiet complex. The beach was deserted! So if you're looking for luxury and total privacy and absolute peace and quiet, I don't think you can go wrong with Covecastles. (Read a lot of good things about the restaurant too, but didn't manage to have dinner there yet.)

We usually stay at Cap Juluca, but one spring we tried Covecastles 3 bedroom villa. Very private, very nice--will stay there again. Check the archives on caribbean on line---great trip report I think May 04.

Comparing Cove Castles and Mandearian and Allamanda is like apples and oranges. The later two are great for people on a budget where Cove Castles is more upscale. The restaurant is excellent. Dominique is a very good chef. Accomodations are lovely Depends on how much you want to pay
