Not sure what you mean by cheap, because there is not much in the Bahamas that is cheap any more.
I would suggest trying www.libertytravel.com for package deals for Nassau and Freeport. If you are interested in some of the outislands, you can go to www.where2stay.com for more suggestions.
Have a great time.

The Wyndham Crystal Palace is usually one of the cheaper hotels in Nassau (as it should be; it is run down & not worth a whole lot). But it does have the casino & its on the beach. You might be able to get it on priceline (??) or hotwire...?

Nassau is a dump.
We stayed at the most posh place and the pool was filthy. It was actually across the bridge but still it's no longer pretty in my opinion. All the hotels are worse then the next. The island needs a complete overhall.

And do not forget that the prices quoted are VERY misleading as the hotel worker union in Bahamas has a mandatory "service charge" on EACH person in the room of at least $17-18. This is on top of the room rate and taxes and any "resort fee" that may be charged. Add that $36 a day on to the rate and suddenly all changes. In my experience this is simply rip-off to line the pockets of the union as there is no additional "service" provided...just remember to never, never tip any service personnel in hotels in the Bahamas since you are getting nailed that high "service" fee.
