Caneel - Booked?
Trying to book a Cottage 7 or Scott Beach room at Caneel for mid-February 05 and have been told they are already booked. I was told other accomodations were avaiable and I could get on a waiting list for the rooms I wanted. Now I know this place is popular but come on, we're talking seven months out.
Has anyone had experience with the Caneel waiting list? Any got any thoughts on the likelihood of getting the upgrade?
Really want the nicer room. May just go to Jumby where they have avaiability - but not the rondavel rooms.
Thanks

Canel has many repeat guests who return at the same time in order to meet friends they have made on previous stays. I booked my November stay and room request 10 months ahead. I know others who book while they are there for the following year.
You may want to opt for a room on Scotts Beach and being placed on the waiting list for #7. The rooms are lovely, private and on a gorgeous beach.
Not having been to Jumby, I cannot give a comparison; however I will be doing an 11 day Caneel/Jumby combo. You may want to consider this if time allows.
