Calling all Young Island afficionados (or not)!
Hey there. We are looking for a honeymoon location. Young Island looks great. I am interested in any feedback anyone might have about it, and any recommendations anyone may have for things to do in St. Vincent if we feel like going over for dinner or for the day. Also, they only have "superior" rooms left (which is hotel-speak for their lowest level of room). I am wondering if they are nice enough for a honeymoon. (We had been hoping for the beachfront suites with the little pools, but they're gone.) All feedback will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

When you say is it nice enough for a honeymoon that depends on your expectations. Young Island is a beautiful little island. You will find the food ok and the rooms comfortable enough but they are not the Four Seasons type. It is easy to just stay on the island and that can be fun. For me it would be nice enough for a honeymoon with the right person. Beyond having a nice place and time together what more can one ask for? However you both must like tropical weather which I love without A/C. I don't think they have any but I have not checked lately. However, we will not stay in a place that has A/C and no ceiling fan plus cross ventilation. We want to hear nature and smell the air.

Jackie, we staying in their standard room years ago. It was beautiful to my eyes. Included my first outdoor shower, very romantic, big louvered windows all the way around, private, view of St. Vincent. You won't need the little pool, if they still have the swimup bar and the warm gorgeous water you won't miss it!
