Best DR hotel in La Romana

Looking to stay one week in La Romana area. Hotels all compare the same?

Any help in clarifying differences based on your experience/knowledge would help.

Only Citeria is that it is on the beach, AI and would pay more if needed to pick a better place

Thanks

I concur-Casa de Campo is the place. They do offer an all inclusive and it is defintely worth it. They have 6 restaurants. The beach is a little small, but other thatn that, it is fabulous.

William, Secrets Excellence is no where near La Romana!!! It's north of Punta Cana.

Casa de Campo is very large and spread out (beautiful) BUT, it's not the best beach in the area. I also suggest you go to the debbiesdominicantravel.com website to see reviews. If you are not golfers and you are beach people, then Casa de Campo might not suite your needs.

Best of La Romana is for sure -Casa de Campo . I stayed there several years ago. It's a huge resort - like a village of its own-Yes the beach is small but pretty nice white sand , blue clear water , (beaches in La Romana areas in general are typical nice Caribbean beaches)Besides great golf they also have great other facilities , services ,professional entertainers...Now I know they have a very nice and relatively new built- Iberostar hotel (which is a good chain hotel ) but can't compare to the class of Casa.I can't think of a resort in Punta Cana that can compare either , and I've been to PC many times.
