Crystal Palace is also known as the "Crack Palace" by local drug dealers.
Go there at your own risk, but only if you're packing some type of personal weaponry.

Thanks everyone for all the information. At this point we're kind of starting from scratch. I'm going to do alot more research so that we can make a more informed decision rather than just going with what alot of our friends have told us.
I'm sure alot of people will laugh at me but until today I was under the impression that the Bahamas were in the Caribbean. How naive does that make me? LOL
My fiance and I are going to sit down and make a list of our priorities and we'll work from there, working towards a short list of possibilities. At that point I'll probably come back with some more intelligent, specific questions.
Thanks for your patience and suggestions!
Betsy

Betsy, congrats on your upcoming wedding. May is great to go to in the Caribbean, this is low season and is not during hurricane season.

Unhappily, I have to concur with the others that Atlantis is not the place for your honeymoon. Go there when you guys have kids...they'll love it.

I recommend the Ritz Carlton in the USVI's for your honeymoon, since the folks are helping out with the tab and you did state you wanted somthing classy. From there, there's TONS to do. You'll have time to veg-out after the wedding, but you can also do trips easily to St. John from there, and then there's St. Croix to visit, and absolutely you have to visit (with passport, tho) the British VI's.

Hope this helps, and whatever you decide, plan on the 1st 2 days just relaxing and de-stressing, Ok? All the best!

Leslie,
Could you tell more about the El San Juan. Is it the Wyndham? Is it central to touring sites? Does it have a fabulous pool? Can we fly directly into PR from east coast airports? Thanks for any tips!
