I have been to all three locations but not to the individual resorts you are considering. Nassau is just too built up and glitzy, too commercial for me. I like Barbados very much - nice beaches and lots to do. We also liked the Mayan Riveria -- basically to compare the two - Barbados is definitely much more expensive and is longer travel time. I found the Mayan Riviera to be a tremendous value. The water seemed a bit more clear & turquoise than Barbados. Barbados is full of lovely, smaller resorts with a lot of personality and charm. Mayan R. has lots of large AI's that may feel overrun with people to you if you want a romantic honeymoon. If you consider Mayan R. may I suggest you look at Royal Hideaway -- it is probably less money than Crystal Cove and it is a beautiful, upscale resort with gourmet food. Smaller than some of the huge AI resorts, great service, I think it may feel more "special" to you than Crystal Cove and that's what a honeymoon should be. Do a search for more of my comments on RH. Hope this helps.

Out of the 3, Barbados, but as noted, it is a little longer trip wise and a few dollars more.

It's just what you noted; minimal shopping (great duty free things, but not as overwhelming as the other islands) and sightseeing (pls. consider going to Bathsheba, tho, only if you get a chance).

A couple we know just got back from Radisson Cable Beach and said it needs major upgrading.

Hope this helps.

I can only comment on two - Radission caters to families mostly so do not know if this is a problem or not. Beach there is nice as is the pool.

Aventura Spa - the beach is actually a man made cove so not open to the ocean.

Call us at 1-800-635-1836 or 1-800-346-8225

My wife and I have stayed in Cancun, Cozumel, teh Caymans; Key West, Bahamas, and Turks and Caicos. Nobody has matched the service at the Aventura Palace.

Palace Resorts push Timshares way too much, it get annoying and should not happen for the money they charge.

I agree with Eileen, the RH is by far the best AI in Mayan Riviera. From your criteria Punta Cana, DR might be an option if you're not looking to leave the resort. Iberostar Bavaro, Paradisus, Secrets Excellence might be what you're looking for.
