Aruba restaurant choices

Hi,
My husband and I will be going to Aruba in March and I am just finalizing our dinner reservations for the week

Thursday March 3 - Salt and Pepper (we arrive that night)
Friday March 4 - Kukoo Kunuku Party Bus
Sat March 5 - Flying Fishbone (front row table)
Sun March 6 - Madame Janette (outdoor table)
Mon March 7 - open
Tues March 8 - El Gaucho (downstairs table)
Wed March 9 - open

For March 9 should we go to Madame Janette's again or should we try Hyatt's Pampered in Paradise?
How much does the Hyatt charge???
Thanks for your help

My husband and I did the Hyatt Pampered in Paradise two years ago. It cost $265 which included the set up charge, dinner for two and tip. We don't generally drink with dinner, so if you do, the price will be more. Since you are already planning on Madame Janette's for one night, you might want to try the Pampered in Paradise for a change of scenery. It was very romantic, and we really enjoyed our evening.

Upscale, try Le Dome, they have a nice terrace with a gentle breeze or you can sit inside. We went last year for my birthday and our 22nd anniversary (it's the same day - easier for DH), we had wonderful service and food. If we go back to Aruba we will definitely visit Le Dome again.

Also try Iguana Joes, not at all expensive, the drinks are fun and if you get a table at the edge you can really people watch - from a height!

my husband and I are going to Aruba for the first time in March as well, and I suggest Marandi's...sunset view...check out their website....www.marandiaruba.com- I've been researching the restaurant scene for a month and found some great sites for Aruba info...try www.aruba-travelguide.com...make reservations online...
Have a great time!

Your line up is good. I agree with the table specifications as well. I would go back to Madame Jeanette's again the last night. Have the Mama Jamaica for desert there.
At El Gaucho the white wine sangria is great & steaks are amazing.
Our reservations at Flying Fishbones got cancelled at the last minute b/c Ivan was looming (September 2004).
Enjoy your trip! We loved it so much & are going back this year.

Marandi for sure. It has the best atmosphere - better than flying fishbone imho. The lobster is amazing! We decided we would pick our favorite restaurant ourt of all the places we ate and thats where we would go our last night in Aruba. Marandi won. Sunset Grill at the Radisson is also great. Driftwood is good for seafood and good price.

I have to agree that Mirandi's was the nicest restaurant we went to while in Aruba. Our biggest disappointment was ElGauchos - would never go back. At Mirandi's try to get a 6:00 reservation to see the sunset. It was absolutely the best restaurant we went to during our 8 days in Aruba.

I was interested to read that Judygal wouldn't recommend El Gauchos. We booked to go there on our last night on Aruba but when we got there the reservation had been made for the next night - whoops, we were back in MA and couldn't make it
No apologises at all from the restaurant, if you book a table, double check your reservation before you leave your hotel. We ate at Iguana Joe's instead.

Texas De Brasil if you have a big appetite.

We really enjoyed Simply Fish at the Marriott. They literally set up the tables right on the beach (our table was about 5 steps from the water). It was very romantic (the only light is candles) and the food was good. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip last November.

The French Steakhouse was one of our favorites, along with all of the ones you listed. Brisas del Mar was also excellent. Whee are you staying? We didn't do the party bus, I thought El Gaucho was just okay but my husband loved it. Flying Fishbone and Madame Janette are our favorite restaurants.

I recommend Que Pasa in Oranjestad, it is behind the Renaissance.A local referred it to my husband and I. The cook there has won awards for his cooking. The food was out of this world and not as expensive as the Flyin Fishbone and better .

We just returned from Aruba a week ago, and Madame Janette's was our only disappointment. I would hunt for something else. It's complicated why our last night in Aruba got messed up, but my thoughts were to go to L'Escale. The food is supposed to be wonderful.

We were there last July with 2 of our adult children and 3 of their friends. We celebrated a birthday at Texas de Brazil. We all had a wonderful meal and a lot of fun.

There is a top notch salad bar that included breads and soups. You each have a disc that you turn to green which means you'd like more meat. Red, they pass you by. The "servers" come around with filet mignon, filet with bacon, sausages, pork roast, chicken, and I don't remember what all else. It was about $35 per person not including alcohol but a great meal for big eaters or anyone who would like something different.

We'll go back there during our vacation in Aruba this summer.
