Sandy Lane

I have done extensive research on Sandy Lane, and my main question is, is Sandy Lane worth the money? Are the rooms amazing? Are the grounds amazing?

IMO it is not worth the money. It is beautiful - the buildings are lovely, the pool magnificent, and rooms 100% up to date (flat screen TVs!) but the beach is just as beautiful a little farther up the coast, the affordable (relatively!) rooms are not on the water, and why do you need a flat screen TV on vacation, anyway?

I think you get better value in many other places, but few have the British formality of SL, so if that is what you seek, it may be your best bet.

You will get more bang for the buck at Coral Reef Club, down the road. More casual than the snobby SL.

I am staying at the Coral Reef Club for two weeks from Sunday week. I shall write a review upon my return. Exactly how far (by car) is Sandy Lane, as we intend to have lunch or dinner there one day?

Many thanks

Angela, Coral Reef is only a few minutes from Sandy Lane.

Thank you xkenx.

We might just get a taxi or walk then, so we can enjoy a little glass of wine too!!

We have stayed at Coral Reef Club and absolutely love it. It's the best on the island -- especially their Luxury Cottage Suites.

In my opinion, Sandy Lane is much too far away to walk -- especially given the narrow, busy road and lack of sidewalks. I would find it stressful. Just get a taxi and you'll arrive relaxed.
