Don't worry. Forecasts often say rain, meaning there may be localized showers that last for 3 minutes. Said the same before we went, were there for 10 days, it rained 1 day for 5 minutes.

I agree with almesq. When I went to Aruba last year, the forecasts ahead of time had me worried because they said rain...but, just like almesq says, there was a couple minutes of mist, then beautiful skies for the rest of the time.

Don't believe a forecast that says rain in Aruba.

Have fun!

Agreed - not to worry. I just got back from seven days in Aruba and it didn't rain once. I think the forecast said possibility of some showers a few days, but not once did I see a raindrop. Very sunny and breezy. Have fun!

I also agree with above posters. We went last year and the weather forecast was rain and we had five minutes of rain in 8 days. I wouldn't worry. It does rain there, but not as often as most islands. Enjoy.

Here is a site for historically recorded weather averages for each month of the year for Aruba. It will give you an idea of what to expect in the way of temperatures, rainfall, wind speeds, etc.

http://www.weatherbase.com/weather/w...=&units=us

ONZGO...I love your screen name. I do have a question. I get what it stands for, but is your name also a way to say that you have a Nissan Z car? Just curious!

iw, thank you. No it doesn't have anything to do with a Nissan Z car (wish it did) or my name. It does have something to do with a car though.

I'm seeing the same thing for next week.
We're celebrating our 20th anniv - staying at the Marriott Ocean Club. Is October more rainy or are the forecasts off base ?

thanks

Oct. and Nov. are the wettest months in Aruba. However the average monthly rainfall for Oct. is only 65 mm.

Don't sweat it winnie. Been to Aruba 4 times in three different months (November 2 times during their "rainy" season) and never had more than one full day of rain and several thunderstorms during the night time. The one day in the four weeks we've spent there it did rain we just went shopping downtown. Go and enjoy!

I just returned from a 9-day trip and we experienced quite a bit of clouds/rain (for Aruba anyway). I think there were only 2 typical "Aruba" days. This was my third trip and very unlike the other two.... I think the weather this time had a lot to do with the systems in the carribbean... I'm sure it was still better in Aruba than most other places at the time. I think the Caymans were getting pretty bad weather.

Regardless, wouldn't hesitate to return.
