I just loved Papiamento (I think that's the correct spelling). The setting is beautiful, in an outdoor garden with twinkling lights and yummy food.
Aruba has such wonderful restaurants - you really can't go wrong with any of the better ones. And even the ones more moderately priced are very good as well.

We really enjoyed Gasparito. They have some great local style entrees. They display local artwork on the walls and have a small case of local homemade jewelry that they sell. SOme people like eating outdoors there but we like the small atmosphere inside. I think they have a website if you do a search on the internet.

A restaurant that we are going to try on our trip later this month is the Screaming Eagle which has a Miami style to it. I'm looking forward to seeing if it lives up to what I've read about it.

La Trattoria El Faro Blanco -- I only spent one day in Aruba so only had one dinner, but this restaurant was well located, with expansive views of the sea. Plus, its an independent restaurant and I prefer not to dine at hotels.

Screaming Eagle is located right next to the LaQuinta Beach Resort. The same owners as Flying Fishbone. There is a larage terrace for outside dining and also inside dining. Their "thing" is "dinner in bed." They have these "beds" you can sit on, like large lounges.

You might want to look at the following website - www.restaurantsaruba.com. They have menus listed for all types of restaurants in Aruba.

We just got back from Aruba, and the best meal we had was at Marandi. It's a little off the beaten path, but great waterfront atmosphere and great food. Go there for sunset. Flying Fishbone is also great. Go there for sunset also. Good Italian food at Hostaria da Vittoria behind the Hyatt. Go there for dinner and then walk over to Sopranos Piano Bar. Not upscale, but we also loved Bugalo's Beach Bar on Palm Beach near the RIU. They have live music several nights and salsa lessons at 8pm on Wed., and the food is very good - burgers, wraps, salads, etc.
