I live in Dallas, so my AC is on from May to October. In my opinion, you definitely need AC in the BVI in June. The trade winds blow from the east, so unless your windows are facing east, it won't do you much good. And what about the days when there's no wind and temperature is in the 90's? You gotta have AC.

June can be hot in the BVI's, but there is always a breeze. May be you want to check for a villa on the neighbouring island Virgin Gorda, most villas have AC in their bedrooms. The official website of the BVI's is www.bviwelcome.com.

Ceiling fans are all you need in nearly all of the Caribbean, including BVI with two exceptions. During rainy October/November, A/C can be nice for the purpose of closing things up more to prevent bugs. The other exception is if your accomodations are in a location that is sheltered from the breezes. Temperatures vary little throughout the year. The best and most luxurious accomodations do not have A/C.

I recently got back from vacation in the BVI, and between the constant breezes and the ceiling fan in the bedroom, I was actually chilly enough to need a blanket at night. It was the first time in my travels to the Caribbean that I never once wished I had AC.
