One of the US morning TV shows featured an inn on Vancouver Island that had won one magazine's award for best in N. America. I was in and out of the shower and missed the name of it -- is over the ocean with commanding views and spectacular views. Can anyone suggest which inn it might have been?

I didn't see the show but my best guess would be the Wickaninnish Inn near Tofino.

My guess would be the Sooke Harbour House (www.sookeharbourhouse.com), which has won numerous awards.

Number l. was The Wackannish Inn<BR>at Tofino and number 2 was The Sooke Harbor House.

Aerie Resort - on the Malahat north of Victoria - has won numerous awards - high on the mountain with a fabulous view of the ocean...that's my bet
