Vancouver: Moderate downtown hotels

Anyone have any good ideas for a moderate downtown hotel? Seems like in every city, there are one or two properties that are highly sought after due to great location AND good price!

Ideally, it would be great to be on Robson Street, or somewhere equally as convienent to the tourist area. But we're a young family and willing to walk a bit, too.

Any and all replies GREATLY appreciated!

Blue Horizen, Grteenbrier, O'Doul's all of which can be had for under $125Can. If that's too much there are cheaper but cheap is cheap.

Connie, there have been a few posts on the Days Inn recently.

If you type Days Inn in the Text Search Box and highlight British Columbia, it will show the threads discussing Days Inn. This will probably be very helpful to you.

Connie, check out http://www.biddingfortravel.com to see recent Priceline.com winning bids. There are some excellent bargains reported for Vancouver.

Connie,

Just last week, we (a family of four) booked the Greenbrier on Robson Street for 3 nights in August at the rate of $129/night, includes free parking. The Greenbbrier website wanted more, but I called the BC 1-800-435-5622 travel number to ask how the area was, etc., and they told me that they could get it for cheaper. SO I finally booked through through the 1-800 number.

Hope that helps,
Anna

We stayed at the Quality Inn (they call it the Inn at False Creek) a year ago. It was $99 for 2 of us, and that included a great breakfast.
For two nights in July, we just got Pacific Palisades on Robson St. for $139 (Canadian) on Expedia. I thought that was pretty good, don't you think?

Had a good stay at the Parkhill on Davie Street a couple weeks ago. Got a high-floor studio suite w/ a big balcony for C$129 through the hotel's web site (they also had cheaper rooms). It is very central and we thought it was a great hotel for the money.

But if you really want to go cheap, try a very low bid on Priceline.
