sundays in montreal

We will be in Montreal July 1-3. Plan to just wander around, take in the city, shop and eat.( Old Montreal, St. Catherines St., etc) Will stores be closed either Fri for Canada day or Sunday? Thanks!

The stores are normally be closed the day of the holiday. I would do any shopping on the Saturday and enjoy the celebrations in Old Montreal on the Friday. Enjoy!

In Old Montreal, everything will be open on July 1st - stores on ste catherine and in the underground might be closed. I can post back after doing some checking around.

css, I just did some checking and according to most people, stores will be open on July 1st. Sorry about the wrong info. It's the June 24th holiday where everything is closed. Enjoy your visit.
