I have always enjoyed Le Jardin on York Street (www.welcome.to/lejardin). The food is wonderful. However, ordering a bottle of wine can make the meal quite expensive

The Courtyard restaurant is quite charming and has a lovely patio, which as the name suggests, is in a courtyard.(www.courtyardrestaurant.com). Domus has a wonderful, creative menu. But, for a real treat hop in a taxi and go to Juniper at 1293 Wellington (10 minute drive). They have an inventive menu that changes each season and features a Table d'Hote (sp?). If you go, be sure to make a reservation and request a quiet, romantic table.

My favorite is Mamma Grazzi's in the market. I've been several times with company from out of town and never had a bad meal. They have a lovely courtyard for dining outside. Menu is mostly pastas with some designer type pizzas. If you like Indian food, Cafe Shafali is a good bet.

Oregano's is cute. It is a dainty wee little Italian restaurant. Reasonalaby priced and perfect for two. Make sure to make a reservation especially friday and saturday nights! This experience is simaler to that of the movie Lady and the Tramp. Especially the pasta kissing part.
Enjoy!
