Hotel St.-Paul v. Hotel Le Germain

I have reservations at both. I have the St. Paul for a steal (160 CDN) while I have Germain for somewhat more, but still a good deal (250 CDN). Money is not a HUGE issue, but I have the, "Should I pass up $160" issue.

Which reservation would you keep?

Mike-
Make the decision easy on yourself and stay @ Hotel Le St James. It's the finest boutique hotel in the city and the price might even come in a little less than Germain.
You won't regret it.

Howard, sounds like he is looking for something more "hip". St. James is beautiful, but very "romantic and antiquey" and not "hip."

Just got back from Canada. We spent 2 days in St. Germain last week. Hotel was very nice, queen room was a bit on the small side, but I would stay there again. Staye din larger hotels for the following week, but I would definitely stay with the smaller hotels. Any questions, email

Mike, that is very cheap for the St. Paul, but read my review in "Montreal Accomodations" thread. It was not a nice experience. Especially because of the generator outside (which is still there)
