Nice Hotel in St. Germaine

Looking for a nice 3+ or better Hotel in St Germaine. Relais St. Suplice was in an excellent location for me, but the rooms are too small, and a little run-down. Any other Hotels in the area that would be nicer? I had heard 2 years ago that were 2 hotels just opening (or newly remodeled) near Lux. Jardin. Any thoughts?

I think there are many hotels in the area that might be nicer, but they will cost a little to a lot more, of course.

I know the ones you are thinking of, and one is the Hotel Luxembourg Parc. It has a website which is easy to find. I can't remember the name of the other. However, I think the Hotel de l'Abbaye is supposed to be very nice, and the Relais Saint Germain, also. That's just a couple, there are a lot.

Have a look at Hotel Suede Saint Germain, a 3 star hotel...Rooms have really good size...and it is decorated in a typical French and Parisian style...very nice hotel!
I really appreciate it...
Have a look at the website: http://www.suede-saint-germain.com
Enjoy Paris!

Our favorite hotel in St. Germaine is the Hotel des Saints-Peres. It is a lovely 3* with larger than average rooms for Paris hotels. You can take a look at www.esprit-de-france.com.

I think the Luxembourg Parc is pretty nice and seens to be more worth it than the Hotel de L'Abbaye. Sorry Christina for saying that but the Abbaye's rates are so high for such small rooms.

We just returned last night from a week long stay at the Hotel des St Peres and loved it! The rooms were definitely larger than others I have had in Paris. The location was great and the hotel staff was quite friendly and helpful.

I have been doing a lot of research lately for my upcoming trip and my faorite picks so far are Le Madison, Le Relais St. Germain and Le Regent.

When are you going? How much do you want to spend?

no reason to be sorry to me-- I have no personal interest in these hotels at all, just heard they were nice.

We just got back from Paris and stayed at Hotel Verneuil. We loved it. Yes our room was small but we hardly spent anytime in it. It was beautifully decorated, VERY clean, very Quiet and the location could not have been better! I have heard the deluxe rooms are more spacious!

Good Luck,
Brenda

I've stayed in the Verneuil and enjoyed it. Great location and charming decor.

But I agree with francophile that Luxembourg Parc looks very nice from the website! And it seems more reasonable than many of the nicer hotels in the area.

Our favorite is the Madison. Great location, newly redecorated rooms, and quiet. The Luxembourg Parc is closer to Montparnasse than to St-Germain, BTW.

The Luxembourg Parc is a block from St. Sulpice.

Sorry--I had it confused with Le Sainte-Beuve.

Try the Pas des Calais. My wife and I have stayed there twice and like it and its location right off blvd. St Germaine.
