Best Seats for Mama Mia

Taking kids and we have a wide open selection for seats - 3rd or 4th row centre in orchestra or first row balcony...what seats are best?

It depends on your personal preferences, but at the Royal Alex, I would choose the first row of the balcony (assuming this is not the upper balcony, in which case I would take the orchestra).

Personal preference plays a major role here. I love to see the faces up close, the sweat.... all that good stuff. I sat in the orchestra, close to the front and loved it. At the end of Mama Mia we were all dancing in the ailses.
I just saw Hairspray. I sat in the very front row, right behind the conductor. That had a special bonus.....the composer was at the perfomance and the conductor introduced me.

Saw MM from the upper balcony- it was steep and kind of scary. I saw it again from the orchestra - much better. There was a thread about this a few months ago if you do a search.

Because of the size of the theatre, either of your seat choices are good ones, but my personal preference for this show would be for orchestra level seating and because of the fun dancing that the audience gets into at the end, an aisle seat is even better.

If anyone needs to see seating plans of the theatre, go to www.mirvish.com and click on 'our theatres', then 'Royal Alex' and then 'seating plans'.

thanks everyone..I ended up booking 2nd row first balcony. We saw Mama Mia kiosk at the mall and talked with them about booking. They said the first row in the balcony had some restricted view because of the railing. Also said even the 5-6th row back from orchestra was too close. We ended up (on their recommendation) in the 2nd row 1st balcony on the aisle. I'll let you know!
